Market Problems

Market Problem 01
Inefficiencies in the Fashion Production Cycle.
The entrenched methodologies of the fashion industry present substantial challenges in efficiency. Historically, the traditional fashion calendar has created 5-9 months lag between the unveiling of designs during fashion weeks and their subsequent availability in retail outlets. In recent years, the lag have been considerably shortened, but still remain longer than 2 months for most companies. With global trends now evolving at an unprecedented pace, this prolonged time frame is discordant with the dynamic market demands of today. The consequential mismatch often results in misaligned inventories, reduced consumer interest, and, ultimately, financial underperformance.

Market Problem 02
The High Complexities in Development Process.
The traditional path from a design sketch to a tangible product is paved with countless manual steps. From pattern drafting and sizing adjustments to the intricacies of selecting the right fabric and ensuring quality stitching, every stage requires meticulous attention to detail. This complex process does not only translate to prolonged lead times and room for human error, but it also acts as a deterrent for budding enthusiasts who might have brilliant ideas but lack of connections, time, capital investment, or related professional knowledge.

Market Problem 03
The Environmental Toll of Overproduction.
The detrimental ramifications of overproduction in the fashion industry are both environmentally and economically profound. This rampant overproduction, often a byproduct of inaccurate demand projections and an entrenched fast-fashion ethos prioritizing volume over value, has led to an annual economic loss of approximately $500 billion (about $1,500 per person in the US). The industry's surfeit contributes significantly to global carbon footprints, exacerbated water consumption, and burgeoning landfill waste. As substantiated by the World Bank, the fashion industry ranks among the topmost contributors to global pollution, a disconcerting testament to the urgent need for transformative change.
